Are you a candidate?
If you have any kind of skin condition or complications such as:
-
dermatitis, keratosis pilaris, eczema on the brows or nearby areas of the brows, psoriasis, chronic acne, or rosacea, you may not be a suitable candidate for nano-blading/ ombre powder brows as your skin may not hold the ink pigment in.
-
Excessively oil skin may also not hold ink pigment well and may blur when healed for nano-blading (ombre powder brows are recommended for oily/ combo/ thin/ large pore skin type instead).
-
Individuals with skin condition that is easily prone to forming scars such as keloid scar may not be suitable for nano-blading/ ombre powder brows. nano-blading strokes may not line properly on skin with deep wrinkles; and any bumps, or moles in the eyebrow area will not retain ink well.
-
Hypersensitive skin may not retain color with favorable results and may bleed easily due to thin skin.
-
Any individuals with previous permanent makeup done may want to have removal first before getting nano-blading/ ombre powder brows, especially if the ink is still darker in the brow area.
-
If nano-blading is done on top of old PMU work, this can cause the hairstrokes to blur and fade within the old PMU tattoo.
-
Individuals who are taking any acne medication such Accutane or Retin-A will not heal properly due to the changes on the skin and will need to wait for a year before having any PMU brow work or tattoo done.
-
Individuals who are taking Retinol and Vitamin A should not take the products a month prior to their appointment.
-
Individuals who have had hair transplant in the past are also not suitable for nano-blading/ ombre powder brows due to scarring that can easily form over the site.
-
Any medical conditions such as bleeding disorder will result in poor color retention.
-
Individuals with autoimmune disorder may not be suitable for nano-blading/ ombre powder brows as well due to compromised skin health caused by these disorders.
-
People who get cold sores or fever blisters may experience an outbreak after the procedure.
-
It is important to speak to your health care provider to receive instructions on how to prevent an outbreak. Doctors may prescribe medications to help with outbreaks prior to the procedure. If you are taking any prescriptions or have other medical conditions, however deemed a candidate for nano-blading/ ombre powder brows I may request that you obtain a doctor’s notice in order to continue with the service.
